This young lady needs little introduction, having featured on numerous successful tunes from Koop, Hird, Swell Session, etc, her unique vocals have been heard and loved around the world already.
Yukimi Nagano’s first productions, to be heard at Clandestino 2006, will be signed up on a new record label Off the Wall, formed in late 2005 by Daniel Nordh and Christoffer Berg: it is now properly up and running with the first releases ready to drop.
Yukimi can now give us her own songs, her own thing, her own words.
Indeed, many will be surprised to hear what has come out of her studio. A few years ago, she assembled a dream team of collaborators and musicians which is now about to finally be heard. Erik Bodin, Håkan Widenstrand and Fredrik Källgren, all renowned musicians on the Swedish live scene having supported artists such as Swedish reggae legends Peps Persson, Nazarenes, singer/songwriter star José Gonzalez, funk legend Emrik Larsson, etc provided the the perfect environment for Yukimi to develop her own special sound.
All live beats, live keys, live live live... This music oozes with swing, funkiness, originality, dub excursions, and amazing vocal delivery from Yukimi, working both on the dancefloor, on the radio and at home.
Test is a jumping, cool groove with a sub-bass that will twist your body and mind at the same time.
Forever is a dubby meditative reflection over relationships with Yukimi providing glimpses of images she’s shown to no-one before.
