EL GUINCHO [ESP]

Is this the rookie of the year? Or how else can you explain that his myspace has got more than 50.000 visitors in less than a week? On Wikipedia there are so fare just a few lines:

”El Guincho is the recording alias of Spanish musician Pablo Díaz-Reixa. Also a member of Coconot, Díaz-Reixa rose to prominence with his 2007 album, Alegranza!. His musical style relies heavily on the use of sampling and incorporates elements of Afrobeat, dub, Tropicália and rock and roll. He utilizes a Roland SP-404.”

That is all we have to say for now about this young man whos live shows is a-a-must-do-if-you-want-to-have-fun-on-the-dance floor-before-you-die. Well, there is also one apposite review by Tim Finney on Pitchfork Media that needs to be quoted:
