DAITO MANABE [JAP]
Last year, a young reporter became completely amazed when he experienced Daito Manabes (4nchor5 la6, Rhizomatiks) combinated vj and dj set during a peripheral festival hour. Daito Manabe, who grew up in a Buddhist monastery, was invited to hold a workshop within the international dub academy I’mpulse Clandestino that we arranged in cooperation with Asia-Europe Foundation. 
Nevertheless during the small hours Daito had time to give an extraordinary performance for an exclusive audience. Though the wii-remote controller and the sound sensors attached to the body are capable of producing peculiar sounds in club format, the technique is not the most interesting part. More interesting is the extremely economic composition of beats that bounce like pearls over the dance floor. We don’t have any problem with praising Daito Manabe to the skies. Equipped with technique made by the industrial designer Motoi Ishbashi (4hchor5 lab, DGN) it will be more experimental this time. The performance consist of sensors and originally programmed light robots. The mission is to create chemistry between the artist and the audience. Dj Mleccha
