People who usually go to Bwana Club can be surprised when they will hear electronika instead of music you usually play... The music I will play is very much connected with totalitarianism or, more precisely, against such a phenomenon in our society. I am going to play several tracks from musician Murcof (Fernando Corona), who made some kind of remixes on the modern classical musicians, so called "Holy Minimalists" (Giya Kancheli, Henrik Gorecski, Arvo Piart,.. sorry if the spelling is wrong), who by their deep morality and religious ideas stayed against totalitarianism in 70s-80s. Nowadays these ideas are in a high importance for Belarus too. Another musician Pan American (Mark Nelson), whose music I will play also, created an excellent album devoted to his family. I think that family plays so valuable role in the society where the totalitarianism exists, that it should be also stressed here... Besides this two quite known musicians it will be also presented several compositions from belarusian musicians: Autism, h.h.t.p., - ED, Idecs. Their music is somewhere deep, experimental, sometimes sorrowful and, of course, have the stamp of the society they live in ... so at the end I would like to say that its not just nice sounds, but a strong socially conneted session I am going to present this Saturday... and this is how I feel.
all the best, Srg
