[STOCKHOLM]

(JPEG) Working on commuter trains represents both a constant motion and a constant interruption, a movement forward and an infinite number of halts. The start and stop pace of the trains transporting people from one set of surroundings to another. The train and tracks are constants. The people feeding it and maintaining it changes.

At the end of the line, the train comes to a longer stop and a moment of rest and possible reflection before its on to antoher trip to a well known destination.

The train moves through time of day as well as a economic cross-section of society. Blue collars and factory workers at certain times of the day and in larger numbers from some parts of the city. They are watered out by white collars and students who dominates for a few hours until they allow space for the elder and the very young.

Ever present are the drop-outs and misfits. Some of them are living the better part of their life on public tranport. The nasty thoughts and broken tunes of the composition.

A thousand cut up moments, meetings, glances and nods.

Working on the night shift with the odd jobs. The silent community of ghostal workers and in-betweens. Working night shift you become one of them. A dark reflection of the city aroused. The silent shadows passing by while you sleep. Going about our busniess that no one sees. The army of pale. Grey morning light almost breaking through the clouds. Early morning passing people still at night-mood, walking home. We are invisible to them.

The broken beats and the crippled industrial ambience. A streak of hate and bitterness covered up in semi controlled surroundings. The roots of a possible future development.

Train, tracks, cuts and mods.
